M.E.N.S. Ministry
Men Encouraged to Noble Service
TLC Men’s Ministry exists to reach, teach and
release men to grow to their full potential in Christ.
TLC Men's Ministry is dedicated to helping men become Godly men.
TLC Men's Ministry recognizes the ongoing need to provide men with resources to develop godly character and to equip them to influence their world for Christ. Our Mission is to prepare Christian men for a “lifelong journey” of faith, obedience, and godly deeds.
TLC Men’s Ministry teaches that a godly man is a servant, not a slave master. Being a responsible spiritual leader does not mean dominating your family. It means serving your family, and being a godly example to your wife and children. Being a responsible spiritual leader means serving your church. It means first identifying, then learning where you can apply your spiritual gifts and personal talents; being prepared in and out of season to lend a hand when and where the need arises. Being a responsible spiritual leader does not mean ignoring or avoiding your neighbors or co-workers. It means reaching out to the lost with a helping hand and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
TLC Men’s Ministry functions upon these Biblically-based foundational truths:
•Imparting the Word - 1 Thessalonians 2:13 “And we will never stop thanking God that when we preached his message to you, you didn't think of the words we spoke as being just our own. You accepted what we said as the very word of God-which, of course, it was. And this word continues to work in you who believe.”
•Reaching Out - 1 Peter 4:10 & 11 “God has given gifts to each of you from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well so that God's generosity can flow through you. Are you called to be a speaker? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then God will be given glory in everything through Jesus Christ. All glory and power belong to him forever and ever. Amen.”

•Calling Men to Accountability - James 1: 22 - 25 “And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. If you don't obey, you are only fooling yourself. For if you just listen and don't obey, it is like looking at your face in a mirror but doing nothing to improve your appearance. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you keep looking steadily into God's perfect law-the law that sets you free-and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.”
•Providing Godly Support - Galatians 6: 1 - 3 “Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”
•Challenging Men to Action - 1 Chronicles 28: 9 & 10 "And Solomon, my son, get to know the God of your ancestors. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and with a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and understands and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. So take this seriously. The Lord has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work."
